Nurnberg

Germany, Nurnberg.

Information for exchange students:

1) About the city

Nurnberg is not as old as other cities. It's located about 170 kilometres north of Munich. It is the second biggest city in Bavaria.

2) About the culture

Nuremberg was probably founded around the turn of the 11th century, according to the first documentary mention of the city in 1050, as the location of an Imperial castle between the East Franks and the Bavarian March of the Nordgau.

The city contributed much to the science of astronomy. That why where are many museums of astronomy.

3) Important rules

When eating, the knife is in the right hand and the fork is in the left, and it should stay this way the entire time. You shouldn’t put your knife down and switch the fork to the right hand until you finish eating. There should always be a toast at the beginning of any meal. Don't toast with an empty glass, always touch glass with everyone (if possible), and always drink after toasting.

4) Activities

In Nurnberg there are shopping centers, museums, restaurants and if you want you can go to Munich. It will takes you only 1 hour to get there .
